Dreaming of World Travel? Teach English Abroad and Start Now with a Paid Internship!

Tired of your daily routine and craving for travel? One of the easiest and most exciting ways to begin your global wanderlust adventure is to start by working abroad.

I've been in and out of Asia for the majority of the last decade, my Facebook is cluttered with islands and city photos, images from rooftop bars and beach parties. It's no surprise that my friends back home keep asking me about job possibilities over here. It's not that easy to make money as a blogger, but there are loads of different – if not even easier - ways to make money and live abroad. One of the simplest ways is to teach English. Did you know, you can earn up to $2,500 a month picking up a teaching job overseas? – Amazing, right?

I do have a bunch of good friends who have done the TEFL course and they have been living abroad ever since and loving it. Working abroad will give you a new perspective. Traveling and living in a different culture is without doubt one of the best things you can do for your personal development. So why not start teaching abroad? Here is a story of my friend Audrey who saved $17,000 teaching English in Korea for one year.

“Do I need any significant experience and skills?”

The simple answer is no! The fact is that as an English speaker (if you are reading this, I must assume that you are) you already possess one of the most marketable skills in demand across the globe. Developing the skills and knowledge necessary to become an English teacher has never been easier. Moreover, learning the ropes and getting a fantastic qualification will all be included in a trip to Thailand with i-to-i TEFL.

Seriously, they offer PAID internships in the Land of Smiles, or Vietnam that will place you into a full-time position teaching English (with 24/7 support by the way), with a great living allowance! When you take part in the internship, you may need to work 5-6 days per week, however, working hours can vary when you begin teaching, but don’t worry there’s still time to travel and explore as this gives you the perfect base.

This isn’t a classic internship you may typically hear about, you’ll get a completely hands-on approach so you can really develop and grow. This internship is about endowing you with more than just the globally recognised qualification, it’s a first step into a foreign world of new opportunities.

So, what makes TEFL so great?

No matter if you just want to do the TEFL training or become a fulltime TEFL teacher, i-to-i has a variety of different courses that you can do easily online. All the online training with i-to-i is of high quality and recognised by schools and employers around the globe. You can't go wrong with this.

Becoming TEFL certified is opening a door to scores of cities, cultures, cuisines and friendships abroad. Although it is critical to note that not all TEFL courses are built the same. TEFL simply stands for Teaching English as a Foreign Language, it is not the name of a company or provider, simply an acronym.

That’s why it’s so important to choose an internationally recognised professional TEFL certificate provider like i-to-i. They are one of the world leading TEFL course providers and includes full 24/7 support on every course it offers.

Choose a reputable organisation independently regulated and accredited by ODLQC.

What the hell does that mean? It means that you finish your TEFL course with experience and an education that is recognised by potential employers. Yes! You can start your journey, eating pad thai on a beach in Thailand and then use that experience to move to a sushi nation, or falafel culture.

Fulfil your dream!

Starting a new life of adventure abroad can seem a daunting if not financially impossible goal. When I first started traveling I spent months saving up for my trip. The great thing with these trips is that straight from touching down in the country, all the groundwork is laid out for you, from the online training, pre-departure preparations, visa support and even an orientation at your arrival destination.

You don't have to do it alone and 24/7 support (plus a little completion bonus) is available for the entire 5 months of the internship. You will have an instant network of friends in your new city following an orientation, all people just like you with a wanderlust spirit and passion to live the dream by teaching English. i-to-i will even set you up with your accommodation, a living allowance to start your new adventure and provide support throughout your whole trip.

Start a new chapter in your life NOW

Don’t spend another day cramped into your cubicle wishing you could see the world. What are you waiting for? Go, see the world, learn new things and make good friends around the globe! If you are still not sure, find out with this quiz if teaching abroad is right for you.

Would I consider taking part in a TEFL course? Good question. Nowadays, probably not anymore. Luckily I can live off my blog these days, but back before I started blogging I actually thought about taking a TEFL course. Unfortunately, it seemed that finding a job as an English teacher was more challenging when you're not a native English speaker, so I didn't really look into it and focused on blogging instead.

Although at the time it wasn’t right for me, not everyone is into blogging and teaching English abroad could be a great solution for those who want to live abroad for some time and fancy a life in a different culture whilst traveling and having fun!
