I was psyched when I heard that Melo of Out Of Town Blog was organizing a blogger party at The Linden Suites in Manila. But the deal was even better. We would have an entire floor ourselves and I would even get my own private suite to stay overnight for a couple of days! Breakfast included!! I can't remember that I was ever more excited to spend a few days in Manila...

The Linden Suites are located in San Miguel Avenue in the center of Ortigas, within walking minutes to SM Megamall, Shangri-La Plaza and Metrowalk where you can find many restaurants and karaoke bars....

With more than 150 elegant designer suites and rooms, the hotel offers a comfortable stay in a functional space. Each room is fully equipped with kitchen facilities and perfect for travelers and long-staying guests.

THE ROOM

My suite on the 22nd floor was huge! I loved the high ceilings and wide windows that exposed a fantastic view of the city's skyline. The spacious bedroom was the heart of the suite, a comfortable double bed and a desk with an ergonomic chair.

The place was big enough to accommodate all my friends and have a party. Obviously I would love to rent this room long term as it's perfect as a working space either.

The room offered more than I could have asked for:

I had a big closet including a safety box, iron and ironing board. In case I felt like cooking, a fully equipped kitchen was awaiting me. With microwave, fridge, stove and a kettle to make tea or coffee. Oh and of course a dining table with 4 chairs.

Let me show you more of the room... (click to enlarge!)

The bathroom was well stocked with an array of supplies. There was even a bath tub which is quite rare in the Philippines. Whenever I have a chance to soak in a bath tub, I make sure to use it as who knows when I will have the pleasure again...

THE BREAKFAST

The breakfast was buffet style and came with all kinds of food, Western kitchen as well Filipino dishes. Pork and Squid isn't exactly what I want for breakfast so I went straight to the selection of Western dishes and they were plentiful delicious things such as pancakes, cupcakes, croissants, french toast, cinnamon rolls, cereals, fried potatoes, cheese.... plus loads of fruits and raw vegetables.

Next to the buffet was a chef and cooked eggs to order. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. The choices of food was excellent, there was nothing I could have missed! The staff was lovely, smiling and very attentive. They immediately cleaned up a table whenever I finished a plate (and I had quite a lot of plates...)

SUMMARY

Honestly, I enjoyed my stay at The Linden Suites. First I thought it's a stiff business hotel, but actually I felt so comfortable there that it was hard to leave. I loved my suite and had such a pleasurable stay there. The location of the hotel is fantastic, Ortigas is the heart of Metro Manila and a very safe area. From the airport it's a 45 min ride, depending on the traffic.

I can highly recommend The Linden Suites to anyone who values comfort, spacious and well designed rooms, modern facilities and a central location. I'll be back soon!

Thank you for reading.
